To graft and prevent a second surgical site, our surgeons can use allograft, which is donated human bone, xenograft (animal sourced) or synthetic sources for large scale bone grafting. These can be in addition to stem cells and healing factors from processing a small amount of blood from the patient. For larger surgeries, bone can be taken from one space in the patient and used to build up another, often from other sites in the jaw, or even the hip or limbs. All of these can be combined or tailored to patient wishes.
