Sara Hinds Anderson, MS, DDS, MD is an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon at Altitude Oral and Facial Surgery with a scope of practice including dentoalveolar, trauma, and orthognathic surgery. 

Dr. Anderson is a graduate of the University of Michigan Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, where she earned her B.S.E and Master’s Degrees. Her interest in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering led her to study Dentistry, and she received her DDS from New York University and her MD from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. 

Dr. Anderson recently organized and led the highly successful Women in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Leadership Symposium. She is a member of the Osteo Science Foundation Vanguard Committee which is composed of early career Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons who have a passion for expounding current trends in regenerative medicine.

She is a native of Miami, Florida and now lives in Boulder. She has two children, Ben and Eden, along with her husband Dr. Tyler Anderson, who is a Prosthodontist in the Denver area. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking or climbing in the mountains, or freediving in the ocean with her family.
